A Message From CM Astrea: We Heard You

Dear Maplers,

We hear you. Over the past couple of weeks, we’ve seen your feedback, and we understand the frustration and disappointment many of you are feeling. I want to take a moment to personally address your concerns directly and reintroduce myself.

For those who may not know me, I am CM Astrea, and I have been with the MapleStorySEA team since about a decade ago. Due to evolving responsibilities and career movement within the company, I have not been as active within the MapleStory circle in recent years. However, I am here now to strengthen our communication and address your concerns more effectively.

Firstly, we want to acknowledge the issues that have been raised regarding the recent patch updates. As a publisher of MapleStorySEA, our primary goal is to provide you with the best possible Mapling experience. We are constantly working with the developer team to address your feedback and advocate for the changes that you, our players, want to see. However, we also ask for your understanding that some feedback may take time to address.

We know that comparisons to other servers can be frustrating, especially when it seems like other regions are receiving more favorable updates. We wish to give you the assurance that we are committed to doing everything within our power to ensure that MapleStorySEA meets your expectations and provides a fair and enjoyable gaming experience for all.

Regarding the upcoming 19th Anniversary event, we want to emphasize that this is a celebration for our entire community. After careful consideration, we chose Malaysia for its vibrant community and excellent venue options that will allow us to host a grand and inclusive event on the actual date of our anniversary, namely the 23rd of June. While some of you have expressed concerns about the location being far from the city center, we chose this venue for its spacious environment, which allows us to offer a wide range of activities and experiences. This event will feature not only one of our grandest setup yet, but also carnival games, stage activities, prizes and brand new MapleStorySEA merchandise to be won. In full birthday tradition, there will also be a cake-cutting ceremony on the final day together with some members of the developer team who will join us all the way from Korea. We have put a lot of effort into making this year’s event special and enjoyable for everyone who attends.

I am also made to understand that there have been some misconceptions about the RSVP packages. Based on your feedback, we have amended these to better meet your expectations and ensure a fantastic experience for all attendees. Now, I would also like to reiterate that the RSVP packages are optional, and everyone can attend the event without making an RSVP purchase, however the merchandise contained within are exclusive to the RSVP package and will not be available for distribution elsewhere.



To improve our communication and transparency moving forward, we are:

• Enhancing Feedback Channels:
We will create dedicated feedback and survey forms and channels where you can share your thoughts and suggestions. These will be reviewed regularly, and where possible we will provide updates on any actions taken.

• Increasing Community Engagement:
Look out for more interactive content, behind-the-scenes insights, and opportunities to connect with us directly through our social media platforms.

• Maintaining Open Dialogue:
While we may not have all the answers immediately, we promise to keep you informed and involved in our journey towards improving MapleSEA.

While we welcome your input to better understand player sentiments, please note that this does not guarantee direct implementation of suggestions. Your feedback helps guide our discussions and future plans.

Lastly but not least, we ask for your patience and understanding as we work through these challenges. Your love and passion for the game is what drives us to continually strive for better, and we are grateful for your continued support.
