[Update] Advance Notice for Various System Changes in v225
Dear Maplers,
We would like to share some details regarding certain system updates that will be applied to MapleStorySEA in the future, with effect from v225 onwards.
As we prepare for the arrival of the 6th Star and its related updates in the near future, several changes relating to certain system mechanics will be updated. To allow for ease of transition to the new systems, the MapleSEA team would like to share some of the important upcoming changes for all Maplers.
Changes to Buff Freezer Functionality
With effect from v225, buffs currently preserved by Buff Freezers will be automatically preserved upon character death.
The functionality of Buff Freezers will no longer be required and the option to select to use Buff Freezers will be removed from the character revive UI.
The functionality of Battle-Roid Special Blessing that character buffs remain upon revival will now automatically apply.
Buff Freezers will no longer be obtainable from the Cash Shop from v225 onwards.
Accounts which still have Buff Freezers available after the function removal will have the Buff Freezers removed, and refunds will be made to either Maple Points or Mileage Points according to the purchase method, following the table below.

Equipment Tradability Adjustment and Karma Scissor Limit
Currently Untradeable after Equipping, certain items from the following Set Effects: Boss Accessory, Boss of Dawn, Boss of Darkness and Eternal Set will be adjusted such that trading these items once will be possible using various Karma Scissors items
With effect from v225, these items will receive a new Karma Scissor Limitation Count.
The Karma Scissor Limitation are as follows:
➢ Boss Accessory Set - 10 Scissors Count
➢ Boss of Dawn Set - 10 Scissors Count
➢ Boss of Darkness Set - 5 Scissors Count
➢ Eternal Set (except Shoulder) - 10 Scissors Count (Updated 18 August)

There are some items within the listed sets which will remain Untradeable even after the update and they are as follows:

➢ Badge in the Beginning
➢ Mithra’s Rage
Cube Revamp
The following items will be removed from the game:
➢ Red Cube
➢ Black Cube
➢ Additional Cube
➢ White Additional Cube
New cubes used to adjust Potentials and Additional Potentials will be implemented and further details will be announced at a later time.
Maplers who have existing items of the cubes upon removal will be addressed separately.
Existing in-game cubes, Hexa Cubes and Equality Cubes will remain.
The current Cube Fragments system will also be revamped with the changes.
Details regarding the new Cubes and new Cube Fragments system will be provided at a later time.
Spell Trace Magician Nadia
Spell Trace Magician NPC Nadia will only be available on weekends and special occasions with effect from v225.
Content Removal
With effect from v225, the following contents will be removed in line with future contents planned:
➢ Dimension Invasion
➢ Evolving System Research Center
➢ Azwan Liberation
➢ Silent Crusade
All achievements and quests related to the above contents will no longer be available after the v225 update.
Existing items obtained from the above contents will remain in your inventory.
Maplers are advised to utilize all related currency obtained from the above content by v225
➢ Azwan Liberation Currencies - Conqueror’s Coin, Emperor’s Coin
➢ Evolving Coin
➢ Crusader Coins
Certain rewards that can only be obtained from the above contents will be available for purchase in a different manner in a future update. Details will be provided at a later time.
