Double The Design! Contest

Hey there Maplers!

Did you know that our 10th Anniversary is coming up in less than half a year? Right now, we’re looking for aspiring artists, designers, or just anyone with a keen eye for creativity! Join in these events that we are hosting and show your talents (or hidden talent)!

To kick off the series of events that we have prepared specially for MapleSEA’s 10th Birthday, we would like to invite everyone to take part in our MS10 User Design Contest and Your Game, Your Story : Design Your Own [Season 2]! events!

MS10 User Design Contest

Remember last year’s Anniversary outfit? We know many of you out there possess the creativity to design a much better outfit for your MapleSEA 10th Anniversary! So why not give it a shot? Who knows, your design may just impress the developers to the point that it will be displayed as an in-game item set!

What’s in it for you as the designer?

Rewards

Winner: 60,000 Maple Points + 1 Set of Developed Anniversary Set

All Participants (excluding winners): 6,000 Maple Points Per Maple ID + 1 Set of Developed Anniversary Set

Details

• Participants must submit their entries for a complete set of the below 6 items for 10th Anniversary Set.

- Hat
- Overall
- Shoes
- Gloves
- Weapon
- Cape

• The design should also incorporate the “visual effect” that the wearer will have when the full set is being equipped.

Your Game, Your Story : Design Your Own [Season 2]

So if you wish to see your designs in your favourite game, don’t wait anymore! Sharpen your pencils, prepare your palettes and start working on those design blueprints!

Rewards

Winner: 25,000 Maple Points + Proposed Item

All Participants (excluding winners): 5,000 Maple Points Per Maple ID

Details

• This is a freestyle design event.
• Players may submit designs of new items that they wish to bring into MapleSEA.
• Item category must be clearly labelled, e.g. Decorative Weapon, Chairs, Effects, Hair, Face, Android, Pets, Eye Accessory and so forth.
• 10 winners will be selected for this category
• The winning items will be developed and introduced into the game.

Event Mechanics :

• Players are to submit the images of their designs to (JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)
• Only entries that meets the minimum requirement will be considered.
• Inappropriate content will be voided and disqualified.
• Each Maple ID will only be permitted one entry per category.
• Submissions must be in jpeg format, and strictly 1024x768 px dimension.
• Players are to include a write-up and elaborate on the additional features for the design like special effects, requirements of special effect if any (e.g. effect can only be seen when character is jumping).
• Feel free to voice out what inspired you to come out with the design.
• Players’ MapleID, IGN and World must be stated clearly in the write-up.
• Entries with incomplete information or do not follow the guidelines as above will be voided and disqualified.

• Entries should be submitted in latest by 23rd March 2015, 0600hrs (GMT +8).

Terms and Conditions

• Asiasoft Online and Nexon Corporation reserves the right to edit the colour scheme of the item when necessary to set a common colour scheme for all items.
• Nexon Corporation shall own the intellectual property rights to the Contents and any derivative works.
• Players can submit designs for both of the event categories, but the winning entry will be counted only once from either the freestyle or anniversary set.
• If a winning item is accused of plagiarism, the participant shall forfeit the prize and at the same time the participant shall bear the legal responsibility for the plagiarism. This rule shall also apply to all other non-winning entries who are found guilty of plagiarism.
• Each entry shall meet the minimum requirements in order to receive the prizes. If there are no qualified entries, Nexon Corporation may abstain from selecting winners for the category.
• Winning entries will be developed into game items to be gradually released into MapleSEA, however the release schedule may be changed without prior notice and notification.
• All submissions must be sent to the designated email.
• All decisions by Asiasoft Online and Nexon Corporation are final & binding.
• Asiasoft and Nexon Corporation reserve the right to edit or change any of the above without prior notice.
