2. When will the Full Version of MapleStory be released?
Firstly, there is no Full Version of a massively multiplayer game role-playing game (MMORPG). Most MMORPGs undergo a closed-beta test, followed by a open-beta test and finally enters into Commercial Service. At this point they will begin charging money to sustain the game operations. MMORPGs constantly update its content by adding new game content to keep the game new and interesting. Hence, there is no “Full Version”.

3. Is MapleStory Free to Play? Will it stay free to play?
Yes and Yes. If it continues as planned, MapleStory will remain a free-to-play game. MapleStory generates revenue by offering items in the game such as sunglasses or accessories to decorate your characters, for sale. Players are not obligated to buy these items but many opt to do so as they add another element of fun to the game. Your support is most valuable to us.

6. Why am I lagging when my next door neighbour is playing just fine?
There are three main reasons for lag. The first is your computer specifications, the second is your internet connection, and the third is the distance between you and our servers. If your computer specification is too low, you may experience slowdowns in the game. In addition, the game depends on the speed at which the game data is updated, we recommend that you use a fast connection (eg. broadband ) to connect to our game. Every internet service provider connects to our servers using different paths.
So, even if your friend next door is having a smooth playing experience, you may experience lag as your own internet provider may be taking a roundabout route to connect to our servers. Lastly, the further you are away from our servers, the greater the possibility that your connection will go through more networks before reaching us. With a longer route, the greater the lag will present itself.

7. “I want to play but it’s not working. Why is it not working? Fix it for me NOW!”
We get many e-mails like this. However, this type of question does not help us nor does it help you. We have no idea what your problem is so please provide us with more details so that we may better assess your needs.

8. I just bought an account on eBay?
This is a strict warning to all users attempting to buy or sell on eBay through any other methods. Buying and Selling Accounts are illegal. MapleStory is a free-to-play game and all game properties are owned by us. The user has no right to buy and sell their characters, items, mesos or accounts. The same policy applies to Asiasoft Passport.
An example on why you should not buy an account - a user might buy an account and use that account to play in the beta. Thereafter, the seller reports that his/her account was stolen and provides us with all the necessary personal information. That account would then be returned to the original owner and the buyer would thus lose his purchase. In many cases, sold accounts are indeed stolen accounts so we will return the account to the original owner. An Asiasoft Passport account is registered with a National Identity Number which is non-changeable. If an account is reported lost by the owner, he/she can claim it back as long as proof of ownership is provided by producing proof of identity (eg. Identity Card or Passport). All users are requested to enter their correct particulars during signup. Please refer to the User Abuse Policy for more details.
