1. The Strongest Reinforcement! Mechanic!



Arrival of Mechanic to join the Resistance!
Join as a Mechanic, by far the most unique character classes in MapleSEA which will bring an exciting new way to game play and challenge for players looking for their next heroic experience!

The Mechanics draw on their ingenuity in machinery technology to join the ranks of the Resistance!

► How to create a Mechanic character?

  1. Click on Resistance when you are creating a new character.
  2. You will be able to create a Citizen which is also known as Resistance’s Beginner Class.
  3. Once a Citizen reaches level 10, you can choose your advancement as a Mechanic by talking to Mechanic Job Instructor, Checky.

2. Mechanic Support Event! (Event Period: 06/07/2011 – 31/07/2011)


Mechanic Support Event is open only to Resistance characters. Don’t fret though; the items gained from this event can be used by any class on the same account.
Resistance Secret Box can only be use by a Mechanic character.

Note:
• Energy Charge is only usable until 30th August 2011.
• Resistance Secret Box is only usable until 14th August 2011.
• Please be remind to consume them before the stated date above.


3. Evolving Ring Event II ! (Event Period: 06/07/2011 – 28/07/2011)


Due to popular demand, Evolving Ring Event is back!

When you first get it, it will have no stats, but give it time and it will evolve into the best ring you own!
The Evolving Ring can evolve up to 17 times, once per day!

This is what you have to do to start getting your evolving ring:

  1. Log in and talk to NPC Cody at Event Map to receive a ring. This ring will have no stats.
  2. Explore the new Maple World for 1 hour. If you log out not having stayed the full hour, the ring will disappear.
  3. When you have stayed the full hour in Maple World, your ring will evolve into a level 1 ring automatically!

This is what will need to do from 2nd to 17th times of the evolving process:

  1. Log in and tell NPC Cody you want to evolve your ring. He will give you a box.
  2. Explore the new Maple World for an hour. If you log out not having stayed the full hour, the box will disappear.
  3. When you have stayed the hour, the box will automatically open up to reveal a potion.
  4. Take the potion back to Cody to evolve your ring.

Be sure to talk to NPC Cody from 0000HRS, 27th July 2011 to 28th July 2011, 2359HRS (+8 GMT) to evolve your ring one last time to change your ring into TRADEABLE!

Note:
• Characters holding on to existing Evolving Ring (tradeable or untradeable) from previous Evolving Ring Event will not be able to get the ring or upgrading potion box from NPC Cody.

[Update] The last day of the event has been revised to 28th July 2011.


4. Grendel 6th Anniversary Final Diligent Seeker! (Event Period: 15/07/2011 to 24/07/2011)

Missed getting the chairs from Grendel 6th Anniversary Diligent Seeker 1 or 2? Grendel the Really Old is giving everyone 1 last chance to get their hands on them!

• Event is available to character level 8 and above.
• For 10 days in a row, look for NPC Maple Administrator and obtain a Attendance Book daily!
• With the Attendance Book, look for Grendel the Really Old in Ellinia, to obtain a stamp daily and some minor anniversary rewards.
• Please take note you need to complete this task daily for 10 consecutive days to prove your sincerity to Grendel to get the final reward.
• On the 10th and final day, if you have complete the task for 10 consecutive days, you will be able to choose 1 of the 2 chairs!

5. Monster Box Event! (Event Period: 06/07/2011 to 20/07/2011)


Your chance to obtain the Timeless weapon you have been yearning for as well as other equipment with 1 or 2 additional upgrade slots is coming real soon!
Stand a chance to get RARE items like Chairs, Reverse Weapons and Timeless Weapons from these Boxes! There will be 2 types of Boxes!

Gold Monster Box image

• Dropped by Singapore & Malaysia map monsters at different rates but you can surely find this in ALL Boss monsters at 100% rate!
• You can get in-game items, including Timeless equipments!
• All items come with a chance of having 1 or 2 additional upgrading slots available.

Silver Monster Box image

• Dropped by all other level 20 and above monsters.
• You can get in-game items, including Reverse equipments!
• All items come with a chance of having 1 or 2 additional upgrading slots available.

To open the Gold Monster Boxes and Silver Monster Boxes, you would have to use the Gold and Silver Master Keys to open up the respective boxes.

Grab this great opportunity to grab your hands on them before this event ends!

6. Sheep Ranch Event! (Event Period: 06/07/2011 – 31/07/2011)

Event Details

  1. Event is available to character level 15 and above.

  2. Talk to NPC Cassandra to enter Ranch Entrance.

  3. Talk to NPC Owner of Pasture to choose which mode you wise to enter. 5 or 10 members.

  4. For 5 members mode, 2 will become wolf. 3 will become sheep.

  5. For 10 members mode, 4 will become wolves. 6 will become sheep.

  6. Sheep will need to run away from wolves and avoid losing all their Fine Wool within the time limit to win.

  7. Wolves will need to attack the sheep with Steal Sheep Wool (bomb) until they lose all their Fine Wool to win.

  8. Both Sheep and Wolves will be able to receive special items available only at the ranch.

  9. Maplers are advised to have 5 USE slots available to receive the special items.

  10. Maplers are advised set these items in key setting while playing the game.

  11. By gathering more Fine Wool (for wolf) or Shepherd Boy’s Lunch (for sheep) during game play, you will earn more EXP upon victory!

  12. Try to find Sheep Ranch Golden ? Egg inside the boxes of the ranch that will give out random rewards including Fairy’s Pendant (24 hours).


Updates:
The number of wolf and sheep for the mode has been revised.
– For 5 members mode, 2 will become wolf. 3 will become sheep.
– For 10 members mode, 4 will become wolf. 6 will become sheep

7. English School Party Quiz! (Event Period: 06/07/2011 – 31/07/2011)

Do you wish to test how well is your command of English?
Look for Dr. P to find out more about this fun and rewarding event!

  1. Talk to NPC Dr. P to enter English School.
  2. Quiz Party Quest for 1 to 5 members.
  3. Collect all the required alphabets within 5 minutes time limit and pass them to party leader.
  4. Party leader will pass all the required alphabets to NPC David.
  5. Once the question is answer correctly, please redeem your reward within the time limit. Each session will end when you answered ONE question correctly.
  6. You will receive a random reward and a Obedient Child Medal image when you answer the question correctly.
  7. Collect Obedient Child Medal in units of 10 and you will be able to exchange unique rewards from NPC Dr. P as stated below.

8. Permanent Decorative Cash Item Sales! (Event Period: 06/07/2011 – 20/07/2011)



Due to popular demand by Maplers since December 2010 til now, Permanent Decorative Cash Item Sales is BACK!
More than 40 decorative cash items are available for a limited time period only until 20th July 2011!
Selected Permanent Cash Items can be purchase from Permanent Item option under Main Tab in Cash Shop.

9. Boss Monster Re-Balance!


All Boss Monsters under the following categories will be re-balance with stronger attack and defence due to game balancing.

• Party Quest Boss Monsters
• Expedition Boss Monsters
• Mini Boss Monsters, example Scarlion, Female Boss, Pianus, Manon.

Updates:
Boss Monster Re-Balance will not take effect during Mechanic patch and delay until further notice. Thank you.



10. Other In-Game Changes!


• Crimson Wood Keep Party Quest will be change into an Expedition Mode.
• Mark of Naricain Pendant obtainable from Crimson Wood Keep Expedition will be changed to one-of-a-kind item after Mechanic Patch.

Updates
To clear up the doubts raised by many Maplers on Mark of Naricain Pendant, Mark of Naricain obtained BEFORE Mechanic Patch will not have any changes. It will not be stated as one-of-a-kind item after Mechanic Patch.

Only NEW Mark of Naricain Pendant dropped by Crimson Wood Keep Expedition after Mechanic Patch will be stated as one-of-a-kind item.

We hope this clear up some misunderstanding on this issue.


• Sales of Lie Detector Test image will be available from most potion stores in major towns.
• Mini-dungeons with monsters’ level 66 and above will only be available to characters with 30 fames or more to enter.

Manual Patch
Note:
Please kindly take note to only start doing the manual patching after 6th July 2011, 0900hrs (+8 GMT) so as not to interrupt your game play before the Game Client Patch.

Instructions

1. After downloading the manual patch file, double-click on the patcher -> Select the folder where the game is installed.
2. For most users, the default folder is c:\program files\wizet\maplestory.
3. *If you receive an error (canvas.dll is corrupt), please download the new client.
4. *If you receive an error (maplestory.exe not found), please select the correct folder.
