1. [New Area Content] Black Heaven: Aftermath
New Region: Mechanical Grave
With the conclusion of the Black Heaven Final Showdown storyline, a new region is now opened up to players who are at least level 190! This new area can be accessed by either taking the cable car from Edelstein Strolling Path 4, or via the Edelstein Taxi service.
Located in the continent of Edelstein, the new region is called Mechanical Grave, and this is where the safezone, Haven, can be found. In here, a familiar NPC has set-up shop, offering the new 7-piece equipment set – Absolabs! Each piece of the set equipment can be obtained by exchanging Absolabs coins from the NPC Coin Shop.
Absolabs coins can be obtained by exchanging A-Grade Energy Cores and S-Grade Energy Hypercores. A-Grade Energy Cores are given as rewards from completing daily tasks in Haven while S-Grade Energy Hypercores are dropped upon defeating Lotus (Normal Mode).
New Boss Mode – Lotus (Normal)
A new mode has been added for Lotus in the Boss UI. Players who wish to participate in the fight are still required to complete the entire Blockbuster: Black Heaven storyline, at least once.
Lotus can be attempted once a day, while the clear count resets once a week.
Blockbuster Black Heaven – Replayability
If you have completed the blockbuster storyline, you can now opt to reset the entire questline and experience again the engaging storyline of Black Heaven. Players who chose to replay all Acts will now be able to obtain extra rewards upon completion.
2. [Content Update] Star Planet
Star Planet System Changes
• Star Planet game rankings will now update in real-time
• SP and Mileage gained from Star Planet mini-games have been adjusted, slight increased bonus whenever you beat someone of a higher rank than you
• A History system has been added, allowing you to check your cumulative Star Planet activities via the Star Planet information shortcut
• Shining Stars will now be selected once every other Wednesday instead of every Wednesday
• Shining Stars rewards will be extended as accordingly, on top of new rewards being added in
• Shining Stars now gain the ability to host the following events within the Star Planet:
Shining Star Burning Time
The Burning Time provides a buff to all players within the Star Planet, increasing Mileage and SP gained by 20% for 5 minutes. This ability can be used twice a week.
Shining Star Bingo
Shining Stars will now host this World Event through NPC Elming. They will be the one calling out 20 numbers between 1-50 during Bingo. Star Points and Mileage will be rewarded to everyone including the host, depending on the number of participants.
New Star Planet Game – Fight! Return of the Legends
• A new minigame has appeared in Star Planet Arena!
• Test your PVP skills by roleplaying as one of the five heroes of Maple World!
• 6 players will test their mettle in teams of 3, going against each other as well as monsters in the battleground
• Each player will have 2 sets of skills – Core and Character skills
• Core skills are passives that boost your character in general – attack damage, movement speed, jump, healing power etc
• While Character skills are a set of unique skills from each avatar, mostly unlocked upon reaching certain levels
• All players will begin at level 1, and they will have to work together to grow stronger to be able to take down the enemy team
• Players who are taken down will respawn back at their own team base
• At the end of the round, all players will be brought into a special arena where the final showdown will take place, and deaths here are permanent
Character Skills list
New Star Planet Game – Psychic Game of Yut
The Star Game of Yut now comes with a new mode – Psychic! The Classic game remains as the same mechanics as previously, while the Psychic Game of Yut comes with a small added twist.
• You will gain 1 out of 2 sets of powers available, each set affecting the yut and unit respectively
• These powers can be used to your advantage or to hinder your opponent
• These abilities are available for use before you perform your yut throw, and can only be used once per game, use them wisely!
3. [Content Update] Sengoku Reborn
Class Revamp – Hayato
• Hayato’s gameplay mechanic has been revised
• The class now revolves around the Blade Force gauge system
• Hayato has also gained 2 stance modes – Battoudo and Battoujutsu
• The Blade Force gauge system provides Hayato with additional bonuses that increases according to the gauge level and stance (click here for full details)
• Hayato’s Normal Attack key has been bound to the Sanrezan/Iaigiri skill series
• A number of skills will change according to the current stance of Hayato
Skill Updates
[Beginner]
• Sword Heart – Skill has been removed
• Summer’s Rain – Skill can only be used while in Battoudo stance. MP consumption has been removed, skill requires a full Blade Force gauge. Skill shares with Hundred Strikes
• Hundred Strikes – Skill can only be used while in Battoudo stance. MP consumption has been removed, skill requires a full Blade Force gauge. Skill shares with Summer’s Rain
[1st Job]
• Sanrenzan – Damage per strike has been increased from (60%, 70%, 90%) to (80%, 100%, 120%). Skill can be triggered with the Normal Attack key. Can only be used while in Battoudo stance. Skill shares with Iaigiri
• Iaigiri – Damage: 180%, Max Enemies Hit: 1, Number of Attacks: 3. Skill can be triggered with the Normal Attack key. Can only be used while in Battoujutsu stance. Skill shares with Sanrenzan
• Hayato’s Leap – Peforms an extra jump while in midair, can be used up to 2 times back to back. Can only be used while in Battoudo stance. Skill shares with Hayato’s Swift Step
• Hayato’s Swift Step – Double tap the left/right key to perform a quick dash in the respective direction. Can only be used while in Battoujutsu stance. Skill shares with Hayato’s Leap
• Surging Blade – Forms the 1st attack of the Battoujutsu Combo
• Shoryuusen – Forms the 2nd attack of the Battoujutsu Combo. Can be chained into Dankuusen or Whirlwind Cut
• Battoujutsu Combo – Unleashes a series of back-to-back skills. Continuously chains into all available attacks as a combo. Attack damage is increased based on activated stage. Only skills that have been learnt will activate:
- 1st Attack: Surging Blade
- 2nd Attack: Shouryuusen
- 3rd Attack: Rising Slash
- 4th Attack: Falcon Dive
- 5th Attack: Dankuusen
- 6th Attack: Sweeping Sword
- 7th Attack: Tornado Blade
- Final Attack: Crosscut Deathmark
[2nd Job]
• Jin Sanrenzan – Damage per strike has been increased from (60%, 70%, 90%) to (140%, 180%, 180%). Skill can be triggered with the Normal Attack key. Can only be used while in Battoudo stance. Skill shares with Iaigiri no Jin
• Iaigiri no Jin – Damage: 280%, Max Enemies Hit: 1, Number of Attacks: 3, Skill can be triggered with the Normal Attack key. Can only be used while in Battoujutsu stance. Skill shares with Jin Sanrenzan
• Rising Slash – Damage: 170%, Max Enemies Hit: 6, Number of Attacks: 3, Launches enemies into the air. Forms the 3rd attack of the Battoujutsu Combo. Can be chained into Falcon Dive
• Falcon Dive – Damage decreased from 210% to 170%. Forms the 4th attack of the Battoujutsu Combo. Can be chained from Rising Slash
[3rd Job]
• Fuu Sanrenzan – Damage per strike has been increased from (160%, 180%, 200%) to (230%, 250%, 260%). Skill can be triggered with the Normal Attack key. Can only be used while in Battoudo stance. Skill shares with Iaigiri no Fuu
• Iaigiri no Fuu – Damage: 450%, Max Enemies Hit: 1, Number of Attacks: 3, Skill can be triggered with the Normal Attack key. Can only be used while in Battoujutsu stance. Skill shares with Fuu Sanrenzan
• Dankuusen – Damage increased from 170% to 210%. Forms the 5th attack of the Battoujutsu Combo. Can be chained from Shoryuusen
• Sweeping Sword – Damage increased from 150% to 210%. Forms the 6th attack of the Battoujutsu Combo
[4th Job]
• Rai Sanrenzan – Damage per strike has been increased from (220%, 250%, 300%) to (280%, 300%, 320%). Skill can be triggered with the Normal Attack key. Can only be used while in Battoudo stance. Skill shares with Iaigiri no Rai
• Iaigiri no Rai – Damage: 680%, Max Enemies Hit: 1, Number of Attacks: 4, Skill can be triggered with the Normal Attack key. Can only be used while in Battoujutsu stance. Skill shares with Rai Sanrenzan
• Shinsoku – Number of attacks decreased from 10 to 2, skill mechanic changed to a key-down skill that lasts up to 10 seconds, Damage increased from 162% to 330%. Can only be used while in Battoujutsu stance
• Eye for an Eye – Master level reduced from 15 to 10
• Tornado Blade – Damage increased from 200% to 280%. Forms the 7th attack of the Battoujutsu Combo
• Crosscut Deathmark – Damage 405%, Number of Attacks: 6, Additional Damage Debuff from Party attacks: +20%, Applies to Boss Monsters. Forms the 8th attack of the Battoujutsu Combo
[Hyper Skills]
• Shinsoku – Reinforce – Increases skill damage
• Shinsoku – Extra Strike – Increases number of attacks
• Shinsoku – Boss Rush – Increases boss damage
• Crosscut Deathmark – Reinforce – Increases skill damage
• Crosscut Deathmark – Spread – Increases max enemies hit
• Crosscut Deathmark – Extra Strike – Increases number of attacks
Class Revamp – Kanna
• Mana regeneration for Kanna has been improved
• A new skill has been added to allow Kanna to recover her Mana
Skill Updates
[Beginner]
• Mana Font – Now recharges continuously when Mana is consumed
[1st Job]
• Ether Pulse – Skill delay adjusted
[Second Job]
• Haku Reborn – Haku’s human form now has a new appearance when this skill is used
• Burning Shikigami Haunting – Renamed from Channeling: Fire. Now a passive skill that adds a chance to set enemies on fire on Shikigami Haunting’s first hit
[Third Job]
• Tengu Strike – Max skill level reduced from 20 to 15
• Frozen Shikigami Haunting – Renamed from Channeling: Ice. Now a passive skill that adds a chance to slow enemies on Shikigami Haunting’s second hit.
• Mana Recharge – Restores Mana in exchange for HP
• Advanced Haku Reborn – Skill has been removed
[Fourth Job]
• Shocking Shikigami Haunting – Renamed from Channeling: Lightning. Now a passive skill that adds knockback and extra damage to Shikigami Haunting’s third hit
• Vanquisher’s Charm – Allows mobility while skill is being used
• Orochi – Mana consumed decreased from 30 to 20.
• Monkey Spirits – Mastery level reduced from 30 to 20.
• Demon’s Fury – Damage: 190%, Max Enemies Hit: 8, Number of Attacks: 8, Cooldown: 3 sec
[Hyper Skills]
• Hyper Max Spiritual Power – Adds 15 maximum Mana
Area Revamp – Zipangu
• A number of monsters, particularly those related to Zipangu areas, have been raised significantly. Be wary when travelling is these areas!
• Taxi NPC Perry has been added in Mushroom Shrine, Showa Town and Ninja Castle
• Access to Zipangu remains the same, via the Dimensional Mirror in towns
• For players travelling to Showa Town by foot from Mushroom Shrine, take note that the areas are linked via the maps ‘Encounter with the Buddha’ and ‘Showa Street 3’
• New quests are available in Zipangu (the quest is available from level 160 and begins in Showa Town). A medal awaits those who complete them!
4. [Content Update] Class Skill Updates
Paladin
• Holy Charge (4th Job) – Added holy element into attack, damage has been increased from 405% to 454%
Crossbow Master
• Distancing Sense (2nd Job) – Critical effect changed to Ignore Defense
• Net Throwing (2nd Job) – Success chance increased from 70% to 100%, 5-second cooldown added
• Dragon’s Breath (3rd Job) – Max Enemies Hit increased from 6 to 9
• Extreme Archery: Crossbow (3rd Job) – Now adds 15% Minimum Critical Damage
• Snipe (4th Job) – Maximum damage increased, range increased, skill delay decreased
• Additional Bol (4th Job) – Critical chance boost changed to Ignore Defense boost
• Long Range True Shot (Hyper – A) – Maximum damage increased, skill delay decreased
• Bull’s Eye (Hyper – A) – Now also increases damage by 20%
Viper
• HP Boost (2nd Job) – Stance Effect added
• Ultra Charge (4th Job) – Stance Effect removed
Captain
• Eight-Legs Easton (4th Job) – Vertical Range increased
Mercedes
• Potential Power (1st Job) – Now also adds 20% damage
• Spirit Surge (2nd Job) – Damage increased from 15% to 30%
• Leaf Tornado (3rd Job) – Attack Range increased
• Ignis Roar (3rd Job) – Weapon attack added per linked attack increased from 3 to 4
• Ancient Warding (4th Job) – Damage increased from 30% to 40%
Xenon
• Surplus Energy Gauge – Maintains current state after resurrection
• Pillar Scramble (3rd Job) – Renamed from Filla Scramble
• Aegis System (3rd Job) – Renamed from Easy’s System
• Fuzzy Rob Masquerade: Shoot (4th Job) – Number of attacks increased from 5 to 6, skill delay reduced
• Blade Dancing (4th Job) – Damage increased from 225% to 260% at max level
• OOPArts Code (4th Job) – Renamed from Opatz Code
Kaiser
• Final Form (3rd Job) – Can now sit and hang on to ladders while active
• Dragon Slash (1st Job) – Skill motion changes while in Final Form
• Wing Beat (3rd Job) – Skill motion changes while in Final Form
• Gigas Wave (4th Job) – Skill motion changes while in Final Form
• The following skills have been changed to be able to be toggled On/Off:
- Night Lord’s Mark of Assassin
- Eunwol’s Fox Spirit
- Angelic Buster’s Soul Seeker Expert
- Night Walker’s Shadow Bats
- Xenon’s Aegis System
- Fire/Poison Archmage’s Ignite
Resistance
• Spirit of Freedom (Link Skill) – Makes the player invincible for a few seconds upon resurrection. Duration is reduced when used as a link skill. Skill is only available to Wild Hunters, Battle Mages & Mechanics
5. [Content Update] Friends Story
Gameplay Updates
• The level of difficulty and requirements for some quests have been reduced to allow for easier completion
• The Old Wing will also take lesser time to complete
• Calling Orchid betweeen 8:00-9:00pm will grant a special mission, as well as special rewards for completion
• Friends Story chapters can now be replayed once you have completed up to Chapter 6
• Hidden quests, new rewards as well as different endings are available upon reset.
A New Chapter Awaits! : Chapter 6 – New Student Damien and the Burning Spirit of Rock
Notice: This content will only be available from 25th November 2015
A new chapter is now available for play! A mysterious rock beat is infecting the students of Shinsoo International School, and turning them into miscreants! Help Irina and her band go up against the new student Damien and his band in an awesome music minigame!
6. [Content Update] Beasts of Fury
Content Expansion
Notice: This content will only be available from 2nd December 2015. Hurry and clear the first part if you have not!
Attention to all Gold Dragon & Red Tiger students!
A new challenge descends! Head over to Wu Tien Mountain and be prepared to meet the Grandmaster himself, Mu Gong! A new series of tests and tasks will be available, which upon completion will grant you access to a new awesome title that grants you a neat buff, as well as Beast of Fury exclusive monster soul boxes!
7. [New Side Content] Alishan
Notice: This content is available from 16th December 2015 onwards.
It looks like someone has called for help and it seems to be coming from an unknown region known as Alishan. Head on over to discover a dark matter in the forest, and be rewarded with Alishan Coins which can be traded for special items from the area NPC store!
Take note that monsters in the Alishan region scales to the average level of players in the map. Parties are only available in the town area and not in the hunting zones
8. [System Update] In-game Changes & Updates
Login Screen Changes
• A character rearranging option has been added, you can now rearrange the order of your characters via the Change Location button
• Return option on the character selection screen has been adjusted. Players can now either go back one screen via the Back button, or return to the login page directly via the First Page button
In-game Technical Changes
• A new damage effect, “Blade”, has been added
• “Mini” versions of all available effects have also been implemented to help ease on the damage numbers that appear on screen
• The temporary restriction on trading feature has now been set to account based instead of character based
• Cube UIs have been updated to allow ease of convenience for multiple usage on an item
Game Related Updates
• Level 140 set (Lion Heart, Dragon Tail, Falcon Wing, Raven Horn, Shark Tooth) shoulderpads are now dropped by Empress Cygnus
• A Death Count system has been established for Empress Cygnus’ expedition
• New Monster Souls have been added – Von Bon, Crimson Queen, Pierre, Vellum, Lotus, Gold Dragon, Red Tiger
• Hilla and Horntail expeditions can now run more than one per channel
• Video scenes can now be skipped by pressing the ‘Esc’ button
• Xenon, Kaiser and Angelic Buster classes can now learn the Will of the Forces skill by completing the respective quests:
- Xenon: Continent Meeting (Level 75+)
- Kaiser: Invitation of the Alliance (Level 75+, must have completed “New Alliance” [Level 60])
- Angelic Buster: Invitation of the Alliance (Level 75+, must have completed “Your Old Pal Kaiser” [Level 70])
