R.E.D. : Kritias Patch Notes

Prologue

The Kingdom of Kritias which was hidden away by the Black Mage, has finally resurfaced in all it’s magnificence! However, the castle appears to be upside-down way up in the sky. What is the Black Mage up to now? Read on to find out about the exciting content this patch is going to bring.

1. New area “Kritias” is added

• Only accessible for characters of levels 160 and above
• Can be accessed from Sky Nest 1 at Minar Forest
• You can also visit Kritias by going through the Inter-Dimensional Portal from Pantheon, Veritas or Crystal Garden.

2. Kritias’ unique features

• Monsters in Kritias drop Piece of Half Magic Stones .

• If you have a Half Magic Condenser , Piece of Half Magic Stones can be consumed to increase stats of Inverse Codex .

• A combination of Half Magic and Piece of Half Magic Stones can be exchanged for Kritias Commemorative Coin or Enheim Coin . These coins can be used to purchase items at NPC Kuelbern at Kritias Market.

Note : All damage skins are not able to be used by Zero class.

3. Kritias Commander Invasion

• The Black Mage’s commander(s) will invade Kritias every 2 hours for 30 minutes, with the first invasion starting at 0800hrs and the last one being at 2200hrs (GMT+8).

• An invasion situation UI will appear 5 minutes before an incoming invasion, so that players will have time to prepare.

• The UI will show a countdown timer to indicate how much longer you will need to defend the city against the dark forces.



• Kritias environment changes based on the invasions.

• Kritias monsters will changed based on the invading Black Mage Commander.

Important: If you do not complete the pre-requisite quests, you will not be able to take part in the invasion. You may still take part in restoring and defensive tactics, but not anything else.

4. New Boss : Hekaton

Overview

• This is a new boss content for MapleSEA.
• Characters of level 60 and above can participate in the boss battle.
• Players from across all worlds within the gateway will be able to fight Hekaton together!
• MapleSEA is getting the revamped version of Hekaton where only 30 players maximum will be able to enter in any one instance.
• Hekaton battle will be available 7 times a day, every hour from 1700hrs (GMT +8).
• There is no entry limit.
• You will not be able to unequip or equip any items during the battle.
• You will not be allowed to open your inventory window in the boss instance.
• You will not be able to consume any potions and all buffs will be removed upon entry into the boss map.


Starting the Challenge

• No pre-quest is required.


• When a Hekaton instance is available, you will see the icon pop-up at the left side of your screen. Click on it to be transported to the waiting area.


The Boss Fight

• All players from all worlds in the same gateway will be able to fight together in this boss instance.
• Up to a maximum of 30 players will be allowed into the battle arena.
• The boss, Hekaton, has several parts which you must defeat, before moving on to the final part : the Core.




• Lower leveled players will still be able to help attack using the Artillery and Combat Mounts in the field. To use these mounts, sit down on them, and use the normal attack key.




• There is a ranking system in the Hekaton fight. Rewards will be given based on the Contribution Ranking of each player, this is calculated by the damage that is dealt by each player.




• There is no EXP deduction upon death.
• You will be able to revive yourself unlimited times.
• The white starry orbs acts as HP potions. Catch them to heal your health.



• The battle ends when the timer runs out, or when you have successfully defeated Hekaton.
• You will be transported out to the exit lounge where you will receive your rewards of EXP as well as Hekaton Coins , depending on your Contribution ranking.
• Hekaton coins can be used to purchase items from the Hekaton Tombstone NPC Shop.

5. Veracent and The Vampire Castle

Veracent and the Vampire Castle has returned! The series of quests related to Veracent will be made available to you upon reaching level 100.

The town of Veracent feels very familiar yet none of the inhabitants seem to recognized you… or their past. A new evil makes its presence and it will be up to you once again to discover the secrets that lie within the Vampire Castle.



The Statues of Wisdom and Courage will be there once again to lend their support to you while you assist the townsfolk of Veracent with their problems, while learning the truth about the kidnapping of Amanda that happened in the previous installment.







• Party Play Zones have been added in the following maps in the Veracent area:

– Wild Farm
– Toxic Forest
– Dangerous Castle Wall
– Roaring Hallway
– Prison of Despair
– Dim Light


• New Set Items are available!

– Mean Evasion Set (level 120)
– Adroit Evasion Set (level 125)
– Absolute Evasion Set (level 130)




So return to Veracent and save the townsfolk once again!

6. Quests and Events

We have lined up more events for the 3rd phase of R.E.D.! Below are the events that will be available during this patch :

7. Introducing New Cash Items

• MapleSEA is the first service to have Hekaton pets released in the Cash Shop. The skill “Hekaton’s Grandeur“ is obtained when these pets are equipped.




• We also have a new Random Hair Coupon especially for MapleSEA, called the SEA Royal Hair Coupon . This coupon will have a variety and mixtures of hairstyles, and will be updated from time to time.
