Event Summary:
Do you fancy yourself to be among the best in your Maple World? Then why not prove it by taking part in the Maple World Records event!

There are plenty of records to be broken within the month, so why not try and see if you've got what it takes to beat 'em all! Here are some clues to help you out:

• ??? - slay the most monsters
• ??? - achieve the most damage
• ??? - slay the most monsters, with just your normal attacks
• ??? - slay the most monsters, with just one blow
• ??? - how long can you last while your hp is below 10%?
• ??? - feeling like a noob for constantly dying? now there's a record for it!
• ??? - its easy to achieve level 1 to 200 nowadays, but how much further can you push past 200 within record time?
• ??? - how much pain can you sustain on your character?
• ??? - how long can you remain seated on a chair?
• ??? - how long can you remain seated on a mount?

• ??? - for people who have had a hair-raising experience

In one last effort NPC Pinkmong has decided to help open a Coin Shop! Many items can be exchanged for Rice Cake Soup Coins, obtained from participating in events! There are also New Year's related mini-game events to help you out!

Note: You have a total of 3 mini-game attempts each day, so make use of them wisely!

Mini-Game Event - New Year's Bingo
Available between 7am til 10pm, at each hour an invitation will appear above the character's head. Clicking on the invitation and accepting it will send you to the game lobby.

Mini-Game Event - New Year's OX Quiz
How knowledgable are you when it comes to Maple, or even things outside of Maple? Take part in the OX Quiz to find out!
Just remember, each correct answer progresses you to the next question, which a wrong answer will get your eliminated!

Note: A maximum of 100 players can simultaneously take part in the Bingo and OX Quiz game (there is a minimum number of players required to be able to start the event), so there may be instances where you will not get the chance to participate if the event is overcrowded.

Event - New Year's Greetings

During the event period, you will see a family ranking tag to the left of your character's name. The family ranking tag is based on the number of years the account has been created:
Ancestor - At least 9 years
Elder - 7~8 years
Dad/Mom - 5~6 years, depending on account gender
Uncle/Aunt - 3~4 years, depending on account gender
The Baby - Up to 2 years

To exchange greetings, right-click on a character and select the option "New Year Greetings". The other character will receive a notification pop-up of the invite, after which a UI will then appear upon accepting.

The requester must send a greeting first before the receiver can accept it. Family points will be awarded as follows:
• Different Family Ranking - 100 Family Points
• Same Family Ranking - 50 Family Points
• Accepting Greeting - 20 Family Points

Note: While there is no limit to receiving greetings, you can only give greetings for a maximum of 10 times a day. You cannot repeatedly give greetings to different characters within the same Maple ID.

Event Summary:
Help the NPC Fireworker create fireworks for this festive season!

• There are 2 parts to creating a firework (maximum 10 times a day):
   - Mysterious Flame Sphere, which can be obtained from the NPC Fireworker via the quest "[Chinese New Year] Making the Chinese New Year Fireworks", by holding on to a Red Crystal for 20 minutes
   - Fireworks Mold, which drops from Adventure Island Firecracker mobs, found around Maple World (you can check the spawn points via the World Map)
• Create a firework through the NPC Fireworker's option ("How do I make fireworks?" -> "I would like to make fireworks.")

Event Rewards:
• You will receive one of three fireworks box - Fireworks Box, Flower Fireworks Box, Good Luck Fireworks Box

How to Start: Click on the icon and accept the quest, "[Bad Omen Purification Event] Purifying Bad Omens to Prepare for the New Year 2017!"


Event Summary:
You will receive a Purification Jar, which can only be placed in a normal hunting field. To assist with the purification, you will need to place Bad Omens into the jar, obtained from monsters within your level range.

Only 100 Bad Omens can be filled into the Jar per day. Rewards will be given out after cleansing a set number of Bad Omens, all of which can be obtained through quests from the icon.

If you happen to lose the Jar in your Use Inventory, you can claim it back from NPC Xingyuan via the quest "[Bad Omen Purification Event] Replace the Lost Bad Omen Purifying Jar" via the icon.

Note: Kindly take note that once the Purification Jug has been placed in your hunting field of choice, you will not be able to relocate it after.

How to Start: Accept the Red Envelope Icon Above Character's Head At Set Timings



Event Summary:
A Red envelop icon will appear on top of your character at every 15th and 45th minute. Accept the invitation and you will be moved to a lobby waiting area to prepare to enter the battlegrounds with other players

Defeat the 2 DongDongChiang monsters in the battleground before the time is up. Upon completion, you will be moved to the reward room by clicking on the NPC located at the top middle part of the map.

Note: Please take note that you can participate in the Dong Dong Chiang battlegrounds once a day, per World
