Unveil the story behind the Mushroom Shrine.
Mushroom Shrine Tales
Characters that are Level 100 or above can accept [Mushroom Shrine Tales] Kinokonoko's Request from the Quest Bulb icon at the left side of the screen to begin.
Mushroom Shrine Tales consist of 5 stories themed around Japanese Youkai.
Certain parts of the story takes place in an instanced dungeon with a time limit.
New Boss - Tengu is available!
Rewards
Obtain various rewards as the story progresses.
The Guardian of the Five Elements medal's Bonus stats expire after 30 days.
Tradeability and Duration of each rewards are as shown in game.
Threads of Fate
Fate connects.
Threads of Fate will be unlocked as the story progress.
Access Threads of Fate by selecting [Threads of Fate] Unravelling the Threads of Fate from the Quest Bulb icon at the left side of the screen.
Unlocking NPCs
Kinokonoko, Takenokonoko, Ibaraki, Kamaitachi, Kurama and Tengu will be unlocked as the story progresses.
Nue, Kubinashi, Izuna and Yorozu can be unlocked when certain NPC's Closeness reaches 50 or higher and corresponding quests are completed.
Gift
Gift certain items to NPCs to increase Closeness.
NPCs can provide hints on what kind of gifts they like when asked.
can be used up to 7 times per week.
Closeness will be increased by ONE (1) point per gift.
Talk
Converse with NPCs to learn more about them.
has a cooldown of 30 minutes, independent to each NPC.
Closeness does not increase if the NPC has 50 or higher Closeness. However, can still be used and the 30 minutes cooldown does not apply after a conversation has completed.
Closeness will be increased by TWO (2) points per conversation.
Ask
, where you can request the NPC to do something, is unlocked when NPC's Closeness reaches 50 or higher.
The type of request you may ask each NPC will be Random.
You can check the progress of the ongoing request by selecting [Threads of Fate] Greetings from Zipangu from the Quest Bulb icon at the left side of the screen.
The quest can be completed after 30 minutes has passed.
Reward type and quantity differs due to the request type and NPC Closeness.
can be used for ONE NPC at a time and up to 5 times per day.
Closeness will be increased by ONE (1) point per completed request.
Summon
is unlocked when NPC's Closeness reaches 70 or higher.
Select to use the corresponding special function or skill.
Kinokonoko
Kinokonoko's shop has cooldown of 24 hours.
Wings of Fate Scroll 30%, Wings of Fate Scroll 50% and Wings of Fate Scroll 100% can be purchased ONCE per Character.
Kubinashi
Kubinashi's teleport has cooldown of 24 hours.
Nue
Scouter has cooldown of 24 hours.
Kamaitachi
Kamaitachi's Super Megaphone has cooldown of 24 hours.
Kamaitachi's Super Megaphone will only be broadcast to the same channel that it is used in.
Kamaitachi's Super Megaphone appears as Sky Blue color in chat box.
Tengu
Tengu's Judgement has cooldown of 24 hours.
Upon using Tengu's Judgement, everyone in the map will receive the Tengu's Judgement buff.
Takenokonoko
Takenokonoko has cooldown of 30 minutes.
Takenokonoko can be found in Beginner tab of Skill UI and can be assigned to a key in the Hotkey Settings (default: K).
Kurama
Kurama's Claw has cooldown of 30 minutes.
Kurama's Claw can be found in Beginner tab of Skill UI and can be assigned to a key in the Hotkey Settings (default: K).
Yorozu
Wisdom of Armor has cooldown of 30 minutes.
Wisdom of Armor can be found in Beginner tab of Skill UI and can be assigned to a key in the Hotkey Settings (default: K).
Izuna
Izuna's Will has cooldown of 30 minutes.
Izuna's Will can be found in Beginner tab of Skill UI and can be assigned to a key in the Hotkey Settings (default: K).
Ibaraki
Ibaraki's Spirit has cooldown of 30 minutes.
Ibaraki's Spirit can be found in Beginner tab of Skill UI and can be assigned to a key in the Hotkey Settings (default: K).
Closeness Reduction
NPC's Closeness will be reduced weekly, every Monday at 0000hrs if there is no interaction.
NPC with 70+ Closeness: 15 points will be reduced.
NPC with 50 ~ 69 Closeness: 10 points will be reduced.
NPC with below 50 Closeness: 5 points will be reduced.
Wings of Fate
The wings that harness the power of fate.
Wings of Fate will rewarded after completing Mushroom Shrine Tales.
Wings of Fate will receive additional Weapon Attack and Magic Attack based on character level, up to Level 150.
The Additional Options on the Wings of Fate are assigned Randomly.
If you lose your Wings of Fate, you can talk to NPC Tengu located at Mushroom Shrine to obtain a new one.
There is no limit to the number of exchanges available. Only ONE pair of Wings of Fate can be owned per character at any point.
Power of Fate
Obtain additional stats when Wings of Fate is equipped.
NPC can be selected by double clicking their icon.
A combination is formed when 3 NPC are selected and bonus stat is added to the Wings of Fate.
The bonus stat's value is based on the average of all 3 NPC's Closeness.
Note: The bonus stat shown above with 3 NPCs at 100 Closeness.
Trial of the Crow
The almighty Tengu descends...
How to Play
After completing the Mushroom Shrine Tales questline, you can move to Moonlight Bamboo Grove to find NPC Tengu.
You can participate in Trial of the Crow in Solo or Party mode by talking to NPC Tengu.
Gameplay Mechanics
Tengu will not take damage from all forms of attacks.
A new boss fight mechanic - Quickcommand Battle will be available in Trial of the Crow.
Quickcommand Battle
During the Tengu boss fight, a Purple Zone will appear periodically.
Upon entering the Purple Zone, will appear on top of the character. Press SPACE to trigger it.
If successful, Quickcommand Battle will happen and Tengu will be restrained.
Otherwise, Quickcommand Battle will fail and Tengu will return to its attacking state.
Enter the correct key input shown on top of character to advance the Quickcommand Battle.
Complete Quickcommand Battle successfully to deal 10% of Tengu's health as damage.
Failure to complete Quickcommand Battle will cause the Quickcommand Battle to end and no damage will be dealt to Tengu.
Note:
Trial of the Crow can be attempted in a party of 1 to 6 players.
Death Counts are shared across all party members.
Only ONE party member can trigger the Quickcommand Battle at any point.
Trial of the Crow has no entry limit and can be cleared up to 5 times per day. Once the clear limit has met, you cannot enter Trial of the Crow.
Up, Down, Left, Right and Space Key are used in the Quickcommand Battle.
Please note that Space key will be used for certain battle mechanics for Tengu Boss, and the key cannot be used for certain damaging skills. Please double confirm your key configuration before entry to prevent interference.
When standing directly under Tengu, you will be attacked by Tengu's Claw and the prompt for Quickcommand Battle will not appear when player is in the Purple Zone. Do keep a safe distance from Tengu!
Rewards
Upon defeating Tengu, you will receive EXP rewards and you can talk to NPC Tengu to select a desired Mushroom Shrine Tales NPC to increase Closeness by THREE (3) points.
There is also a chance to obtain Tengu Feather Dreamcatcher furniture as reward.
If you disconnect or exit the map before claiming rewards, you can talk to NPC Tengu in Moonlight Bamboo Grove to receive any remaining rewards.
