Runes

Runes are generally short-term buffs that help to aid your adventure.

There are various types of runes and are randomly generated in hunting fields.

Rune effect lasts for 3 minutes.

How to use a rune?

Step 1: Move as close as possible to the rune and press your NPC/Gather key or Primary Default Key “N”.

Step 2: Press the arrows accordingly to activate the runes. If you fail, there will be a 3 seconds cooldown before you can interact with the rune again.

Tada! You got the rune effects!

You'll receive a unique rune effect which gives various boosts!

Additional EXP will also be given during the Rune duration of 3 minutes.

There is a cooldown period upon using a rune, which is represented by a gray buff as shown below.

Rune Effects

Rune of Yggdrasil: Maximizes HP/MP Regeneration and decreases all damage taken. Also become immune to Knockbacks from enemy attacks.

Rune of Akhlys: Inflicts continuous damage on enemies, and increases your damage by 100%.

Rune of Zeus: Temporarily summons Lightnings to attack enemies.

Rune of Titan: Temporarily become a giant.

Rune of Asteria: A powerful enemy appears out of unbound darkness.

Rune of Njord: Summons a mysterious monster hoarding treasures.

Rune of Mujib: Skills with cooldown higher than 5 sec, have its cooldown set to 5 sec.

Rune of Februus: A Purification Prism appears. The Prism absorbs energy when defeating enemies and releases all of the absorbed energy to attack nearby enemies.

Rune of Hyperion: Periodically connects the Rune and the Character with a Holy Ray to inflict damage to nearby enemies.

Rune of Janus: Temporarily creates flames to attack enemies when attacking. The flames can transfer to other enemies to perform extra attacks.

Cursed Rune

In the event a rune has not be utilised for a long time, it'll become a cursed rune.

Cursed Rune will reduce EXP and Drop Rate in the field.

It is recommended that you utilise the rune as soon as you can when you encounter them and keep Maple World safe!
